Bays at the Moon

Accepting reservations for a unique pet boarding, daycare and animal anxiety relief facility. Located in Belton, Mo., our clients come from the local communities of Belton, Raymore, Grandview, Harrisonville and Peculiar, but many also live or work in Overland Park, Olathe, Leawood and Kansas City. The staff at Bays at the Moon Bed and Barkfest is devoted to providing the best possible care for your pet with personal attention, special activities and home-like accommodations, including central air conditioning and heating, in spacious suites.

Socialization and Play

We have several indoor play areas and a fenced-in yard with jumps, ramps and kiddie pools. Bays at the Moon Bed and Barkfest allows you an extraordinary level of comfort knowing that your pet will get the individual attention and care that it deserves. While every pet gets VIP treatment, we pay special attention to our friends suffering from anxiety, medical issues, or advanced age. Supervised small group play is available to provide for socialization that your pet needs to live a full and happier life, in a low stress and fun environment.

Stress Free Environment

We feature a low stress, low numbers approach to caring for pets that allows for more individual attention. Our facility has kennels to be used if needed, but our goal is to house pets in home-like accommodations, in boarding rooms that have been set up like living rooms or dens. These rooms allow pet families to board together.

Stress-Free Daycare and Boarding

We know how stressful it can be for some of these special friends to be away from their owners, and we offer specialized services to help promote a sense of lasting calm for your pet that can help them learn to stop barking, eliminating and generally moping when it’s owner leaves. Large boarding and pet daycare facilities can be stressful to some pets but pet parents haven’t had many options. Bays at the Moon Bed and Barkfest will give those pets the opportunity for socialization, interaction, mental stimulation and exercise in a loving environment that is more like home. It’s the ideal place for the anxious pet!

Fun For All Kinds of Animal Friends

We don’t just care for dogs either, we welcome all kinds of animal visitors. A cat friendly room is available with a large window and a real cat tree with nest for above ground adventures. Rabbits and even exotic pets are also welcome.

Individualized Care

We have a caring, compassionate and pet-dedicated staff that will treat your companions like family and are prepared to meet their needs as individuals. We learn as much as possible about you and your pets by taking the time to get to know your pet, and through a detailed questionnaire every pet owner must complete. We have opportunities for natural therapies for anxiety, stress and pain available for those in need.

Boarding for Sporting Events

Accommodations are also available for those passing through the Kansas City area for sporting events like Chiefs, Royals and Sporting KC games or for those planning fan parties that might be too exciting for their pets!
